Ahead of the October 4 release date of the much-awaited Google Pixel 2 and Google Pixel 2 XL smartphones which are coming as successors to the Google Pixel and Pixel XL smartphones released last year, there have been several rumors and debates as regarding what to expect on the smartphones.
Recall that it was earlier revealed that Google had contracted out the production of the Pixel 2 and the Pixel 2 XL to HTC and LG which further lends credibility to the report that the soon to be announced Pixel 2 will come with sensitive edges such as in the Edge Sense technology which allows the smartphone’s edges to be squeezed for activation of some features.
However, the latest in the series of questions which has been raised ahead of launch of the Google Pixel smartphones is the presence or absence of the Wireless charging technology on the upcoming smartphones.
This comes after a recent report surfaced online listing Xiaomi as a member of the Wireless Power Consortium which tips the next smartphone from the tech company, Mi 7, to arrive with wireless charging support.
However, the report also indicates that the latest member in the group is Google which hints that the tech company may indeed be preparing to launch the upcoming smartphones with the Wireless Charging feature.
