Xiaomi has finally landed in India with the launch of their current flagship device, the Mi-3 smartphone.
The Xiaomi Mi-3 which will go on sale in the South Asian country, will be sold via one of India’s most popular online retail outlets, Flipkart, at INR 14,999 (about $250).
Now lets take a look at what 250 dollars will get you
The Xiaomi Mi-3 comes with a 5-inch Full HD 1080 x 1920 pixels) screen. It draws power from a 3050mAh battery while a Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 chipset, quad-core 2.3GHz CPU, 2GB of RAM and 16GB of storage are also in tow.
The Mi-3 features a 13-megapixel camera and a 2MP front-facing snapper. It runs on Android 4.3 Jelly Bean which has been heavily customized with the MIUI 5 skin.
India, take note
It’s important to note that the vanilla Xiaomi Mi-3 does not come with Google Play and other Google service while the version of the device that will be available in India will have the Play Store app and other servcies by Google (Gmail, YouTube).
Meanwhile. it’s important to note that the Mi-3 does not have a microSD card slot even as most customers in the region are familiar with memory cards.
Xiaomi also launched two power banks namely their Mi 10400mAh Power Bank and Mi 5200mAh Power Bank. Pricing for these two device wasn’t known as at press time.
