In what seems to be a takeover of the mobile scene, Xiaomi first created an uproar when Android’s Hugo Barra quit his VP position at Google to join the Chinese phone maker. Today Xiaomi received a standing ovation from bloggers all over the world as they unveiled a $130-priced Xiaomi Red Rice, a phone which would have cost double or triple the $130 price tag had it been it was made by larger playmakers in the phoneshpere.
At 4.7 inches, the touchscreen display of this phone has a resolution of 720 x 1280 pixels and Corning Gorilla Glass 2 protection. The internals include a quad-core Cortex-A7 CPU clocked at 1.5GHz, expandable 4GB storage, 1GB of RAM, MTK MT6589T chipset and PowerVR SGX544 GPU. The camera is equipped with an 8MP sensor along with flashlight and a 1.3MP snapper on the front — all powered by a removable 2000mAhbattery.
At the end what still stands out in the features of this beauty is the $130 price.
