In trying to keep up to its earlier promise, Chinese phone maker Xiaomi has introduced a more powerful version of the company’s hot-selling Redmi 2 smartphone. Dubbed the Xiaomi Redmi 2 Enhanced Edition, this model comes with 2GB of RAM instead of 1GB found on the original version.
To make it a brace, the privately-backed tech company also doubled the storage from 8GB to 16GB. However, the Enhanced Edition will go for $128 when launched, reports declare. This is just a $10 north of what the original Redmi 2 sells ($100) during Xiaomi flash sales.
The rest of the specs remain the same — 4.7″ HD IPS touchscreen, 1.2GHz quad-core Cortex-A53 CPU (64-bit Snapdragon 410 chipset), 8MP/2MP camera, Android 4.4 and a 2200mAh battery.
